Celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
during this period of pandemic

Please be aware of the need to maintain both proper hygiene and social distancing.
Hygiene
FACE MASKS covering both nose and mouth must be worn inside the church by all lay faithful over the age of two.
Lectors and servers will wear masks, but lectors will remove them when they are reading.

The celebrant will not wear a mask at the altar because doing so impedes his ability to lead the public prayer and worship.
Priests and ministers who distribute communion will wear a mask.
wash hands at home and use hand sanitizer provided at entrance of the church.  
All fonts will be emptied of water.
Missals will be removed from the pews

single-use Worship aids will be available for each liturgy
THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE EUCHARIST
The reception of the Precious Blood will be suspended.
Communion will be distributed solely on the hand.
The priest should have an individual paten and chalice for his communion
a ciborium for the community shall be covered
The ministers of holy communion will bring it to the assembly by moving through the empty pews so as to eliminate the need for movement of people in the church prior to dismissal
Social distancing
the celebrant must be alone at all times at the presidential chair and the altar.
offertory Baskets will be at the entrance of the church for your contribution.

Every other pew must remain vacant.
One household per pew or two unrelated individuals seated at each end.
The Comfort room will be available to only one family. First come, first serve. 
There can be no general social gatherings before or after Mass. 
folding chairs can be obtained from the Lobell hall for those who would sit outside in the likely event that the Sunday masses exceed the capacities of the churches.
The faithful are encouraged to bring hats or parasols for outdoors use.
the following will be suspended
Choirs will be suspended because of the danger of transmission of the virus. The assembly is discouraged from singing. If available we will have no more than a cantor and an accompanist.
The sign of peace  will be suspended
The procession of gifts will be suspended
holding of hands during the Lord's Prayer
will be suspended


 Adjustments to these provisions will be made as needed until we can return to our customary worship.
